Family Crisis Fuels Recipe For Missing Posts

My friends, I sincerely apologize for my absence and hope you'll understand.  A family crisis of monumental proportions has dropped out of the sky, and left me blind sided and ill prepared for the fall out.  I will spare you the details, but suffice to say it found me overwhelmed and totally distracted.  As a result, my performance in the kitchen suffered tremendously, and my cooking and baking routine basically came to a grinding halt. Whipping up wonderful meals and taking happy pictures were just not on the menu at all.  What baking I did do consisted of tried and true group favorites which I could produce in my sleep. Believe it or not, I even bought store baked cookies for a Friday night get together! I had absolutely no desire to fire up the oven, toss on an apron or pretend that all was well.  On top of this, I had my first group meeting for the CMTA, and this endeavor consumed what little enthusiasm and horsepower I had left.  Fortunately, that meeting went very well, and all in attendance issued great reviews.  Lastly, I spent the past week and a half in tense consultations with both Verizon and Apple, as my computer decided it was time to act up terribly and wanted it's share of attention as well.

Well, the dust has begun to settle, and I think I see light at the end of the tunnel.  And hopefully, it's not another oncoming freight train! My Kitchen Aid is calling out to me, and the cookie dough I made three days ago wants to escape the cold confines of my fridge and make an appearance. My father's precarious health situation seems to be stabilizing, and the weather today is perfect for a full blown kitchen assault. It's beginning to look like today might just be a Kodak moment after all.  Stay tuned.......  I'm back and ready to shake and bake with a vengeance. Thank you for understanding..................Mark
