Sucre' Drumroll Please..........And the Winners Are.........

Actually they are all winners, because each piece has its' own unique personality, chemistry and charm.  And as with yesterday's post heralding the arrival of these little jems, I was hoping to record this magical moment, but alas my new camera is now on backorder.  So, I set up shop (assembled my palette cleansing station) and went to work...........(play is more like it)

For openers, as much as I am a chocoholic, I do have a weakness for very high quality "white" chocolate as well.  So I began my journey by visiting the white chocolate ganache creations first, and was thoroughly impressed with each selection.  My favorite in this category was the Meuniere.....a rich butter infused white chocolate ganache.  Absolutely delectable.

I moved on to members of the milk chocolate family, and while the competition was stiff, I chose the Avery, a blissful combination of milk chocolate and caramel ganache married to malt from the Avery mines, as the star in this lineup. This creation was pure bliss.

The dark chocolate celebrities were all stand outs as well, but my favorite hands down was the Sucre Dark.  This is their signature piece and it highlights their single bean chocolate from the Maracaibo region of Venezuela. Dark chocolate euphoria has reached a new high.

Lastly, the overall winner, the King if you will, has to be the Magnolia.  This is the most insanely delicious, decadent, sinfully crafted piece in the entire collection.  The marriage of pecan ganache to praline liqueur, enrobed in rich chocolate and adorned with a pecan crown, was the most memorable moment of all. It's been almost 24 hours since this magical confection connected with my taste buds, and I can still feel and taste the total pleasure it gave me.

So, it was hard work (Ha, Ha,), but I would do it all over again in a "New Orleans" second.  I will definitely find my way to their doorstep some day, and might never return.  Perhaps they could use another full time taster.  I'll have to investigate............Stay tuned.

First, thanks for the lovely comment you left on my blog! I look forward to seeing pictures of what sound like delicious creations! Second, I also loved the Meuniere, brown butter happens to be a weakness of mine. I haven't eaten all of them yet, I've been trying to draw it out as long as possible, but I have just loved the ones I've already tried. I look forward to reading more from you.
