Chocolate Eating Contest Cancelled Due to Lack of Interest

Say it isn't so.  Who would cancel a chocolate eating contest due to lack of interest?  You've got to be kidding..........right?  WRONG

The Museum of Industry's Guinness World Record Chocolate Eating Contest that was supposed to be held on Saturday (tomorrow 3/16/2008) has been cancelled.  The contest, which was to be held in Pictou County, Nova Scotia was cancelled due to lack of interest.  Contestants were supposed to compete to see who could eat the most Ferrero Rocher candies in one minute.  The record to beat was five.  Apparently no one felt they could beat this record, or perhaps they chose to partake in other activities.

Canceled for lack of interest? How could this be? Were they charging an entry fee? Why not someone entering just for a little free chocolate? [sigh]
